I am Starlight, by this time 25 years old and proud of the progress this site has taken, having started with only just a few little bad arts.

I can hardly tell when it all began. Must be 2002 or 2003. My mom had her first computer and with it she had Microsoft Picture It.

It was fun to try around. And due to my love for the world of movies and TV shows I soon became a passionate fanart maker.

Back then I only showed my stuff on a silly teenager chatroom homepage. But I’ve always been hungry for knowledge, wanted more than just throwing my pictures on that site.

Step by step I dicovered the world of html, learned -for a fashion ^^- to design own little websites. But Starlight’s Graphics in its current form only exists since 2007. Since I managed to install the Coppermine Gallery.

After having made this I started to get angry about the very bad picture quality I achieved with Microsoft Picture It. I could never reach the level of the wonderful arts I had seen on the world wide web. Several attempts to get used to Adobe Photoshop failed miserably (Yeees, I have to admit. ^^).
It was only when Willow helped me to get along and I was totally convinced: No more Picture It!

Since August 2008 I’ve been using Adobe Photoshop for my graphics. And sometimes the Ulead GIF Animator.
I love my hobby, cherish my site like a baby and hope that you and I will enjoy it for a long time.
